1st INTERNATIONAL GENERAL MEETING
On Monday, 5 June 2023, at 3.30 p.m., at the Town Hall of Genoa, Palazzo Doria Tursi, via Garibaldi n.9, in the Sala Giunta Nuova, the 1st International Meeting of the European Paganini Route Association – EPR was held. The Association was constituted on 14 April in Genoa and is the promoter of the International Cultural Route dedicated to Niccolò Paganini and his era.
The Association was promoted by numerous organizations that are involved in various ways with the historical figure, including the Giovine Orchestra Genovese – GOG, the Associazione Amici di Paganini ETS of Genoa, the Società dei Concerti of Parma, the Società dei Concerti of La Spezia, and the Associazione Amici del Festival Paganiniano di Carro; The Paganini Prize of Genoa, the Giacomo Puccini Conservatory of La Spezia, the Pro Loco of Carro, the Association Les Amis du Festival International de Musique d’Hyères, the Association Historial Ages of Debrecen Reenactment and the Frankfurter Museums-Gesellschaft have already joined the initiative.
President of the European Paganini Route Association Nicola Costa was appointed, as Vice President Monica Amari Staglieno and Route Manager Michele Trenti.
An International Scientific Committee was also set up, consisting of Roberto Iovino (coordinator), Laure Dautriche, Mariateresa Dellaborra, Andreas Lange, Marxiano Melotti, and Danilo Prefumo.
The purpose of the meeting on 5 June was to present the bid and welcome foreign partners who are joining the proposal. The Route will touch nine countries: Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Cyprus, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Bulgaria.
